About Dan
Hi, I'm Dan. I help first-time buyers stop overthinking and start owning.
I've been in the mortgage biz for 20+ years now. But the reason I've stayed? I've watched too many people get confused, overwhelmed, and taken advantage of. That's not happening on my watch.

About Dan
When Dan isn't helping first-time homebuyers achieve their dreams, you'll probably find him enjoying his other passion — music
Dan is a trained musician and songwriter, which explains the musical twist behind DansRockinRate.com.
But the real music in Dan's life comes from his family. His wife, Jordyn, and their two daughters, Riley and Willow, are truly the light of his life. And it looks like the girls have inherited his love for music too — they love to sing, dance, and put on a show.
As a family, they love traveling, exploring new places, making memories, and volunteering their time in Bible education work.
Dan loves life, loves people, and believes that whether it's family, music, or helping someone achieve their financial goals, it's all about making meaningful connections and enjoying the journey along the way.
My story
I was a first-time buyer once too.
When my wife and I bought our first home, I was brand new in the lending business. Even working in the biz - it was all still very scary & complicated. When escrow started, it was a high-speed train & you better get on or you'll get ran over. The process felt rushed, high pressure, numbers I didn't even understand, and a bank we used who seemed annoyed every time I asked a question.
That experience stuck with me. And I made a promise to myself: every client I work with will understand exactly what's happening, why it's happening, and what it means for their family.
20+ years and 500+ families later, that promise is still the foundation of everything I do. I work hard to close on time - but I'll never rush you through a stack of papers. Clear & Detailed is how I roll. And yes, if there's an urgent question at 9pm on a Friday- I'll answer, just to make sure you never feel lost.
What I believe
The Dan Difference
No jargon, ever.
If I can't explain it simply, I don't say it. Every term, every number, every step — explained clearly.
You're never a transaction.
I remember your kids' names. I remember what you're nervous about. You're a person, not a file number.
Honest, even when it's hard.
If you're not ready to buy, I'll tell you. If a loan isn't right for you, I'll say so. My job is to help you make the best decision — not just close a deal.
I answer my phone.
Seriously. Text me at 9pm. I'll respond. Buying a home is stressful enough without chasing down your lender.
What clients say
Don't take my word for it
"Dan made us feel like we were his only clients. He explained everything twice without making us feel dumb, and he was available every single time we had a question. We couldn't have done this without him."
Marcus & Priya T.
First-time buyers, Portland OR
"I was terrified of the mortgage process. Dan turned it into something I actually understood. He's patient, honest, and genuinely cares about getting you the right loan — not just any loan."
Samantha K.
First-time buyer, Seattle WA
"We'd been told by two other lenders we weren't ready. Dan sat down with us, made a 6-month plan, and 7 months later we closed on our dream home. He believed in us when no one else did."
James & Tori L.
First-time buyers, Boise ID
"The thing that sets Dan apart is that he's a teacher. I walked away from every conversation knowing more than when I started. That confidence made the whole process so much less scary."
Aisha M.
First-time buyer, Denver CO
